The Camino Community Center invites the University City community to make the 14th annual Back to School Children’s Fair the best one yet, by attending, volunteering, donating school book bags and supplies, and helping sponsor the event.
The fair will take place 9 am-2 pm July 28 at the Camino Community Center, 201 Stetson Drive near the University City Blvd Transit Station.
The Camino Center describes the fair as a free, family-friendly event “focused on equipping families to live healthy, hopeful and productive lives.”
Throughout the day, the center will provide free book bags loaded with school supplies, plus health physicals, giveaways and other activities. Enjoy tasty food from several food trucks, too.
Ways to help
- Donate book bags – The Camino Center will gladly receive your donated book bags and supplies throughout June. The bags will be given to children attending eight elementary, middle and high schools that serve University City. Get details on how to donate.
- Volunteer – The Camino Center needs 150 volunteers to make the fair a success. Volunteers will help with parking, register people, operate the Fun Zone, hand out book bags and much more! Get details on volunteering.
- Sponsor – To sponsor the event or to organize book-bag donations, please contact Tina Bolon at firstname.lastname@example.org.
