The 2018 Race2Educate is just 4 months away, and we’d love to continue with the momentum. We need YOUR help.
Can your business or community group help sponsor our 2018 event?
About University City Connect
University City Connect is a nonprofit group of area businesses, civic groups and schools working to provide crucial community support for nine public schools located in or near the University City municipal service district.
Many students in these schools come from lower-income families. Community support is essential for our children to achieve their best.

About the event
The Race2Educate 5K Run/Walk is one highly visible event to rally community support and generate student excitement. More than 900 people took part in the 2017 event, which raised $10,500 in direct assistance to our public schools plus another $25,000 in scholarships to the college of their choice for seven local students.
Chick-fil-A University Place and University City schools are partnering for another Race 2Educate 5K and Fun Run in 2018.

How you can help
Our main work right now is building a strong group of business and community sponsors.
Sponsors get plenty of promotional publicity, connections with fellow sponsors and the satisfaction of knowing that every dollar raised goes to support our nine public schools.
Businesses already committed to helping in 2018 include TIAA, Carolinas Healthcare System, University City Partners, Sam’s Club, Elevation Church, Alight Solutions (formerly Aon Hewitt), The Hartford and Chick-fil-A University Place. We’d love for you to join the group for our kids!
