The education-focused nonprofit MeckEd recently named Vance High senior Khamiah Alderman to its Board of Directors as a student liaison.
“Throughout her four years of high school, she has dedicated herself to education, leadership and service,” MeckEd said in announcing Khamiah’s selection.
MeckEd is dedicated to ensuring that all young people in Mecklenburg public schools have the knowledge, skills and experiences to lead successful and productive lives.
Khamiah is among five people named to the MeckEd board in December.(more…)
